Ep. 305: Business recovery: Can it happen? And how?

Guest: Bridgitte Anderson, Greater Vancouver Board of Trade

The forecast is filled with uncertainty, especially when you look at the confidence numbers.

According to a new Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, BC Chamber of Commerce and Business Council of BC poll, business confidence is low. Bridgitte Anderson, the CEO of the Board, says, “It really does come down to confidence when we look to the future. With and especially without that confidence, the future looks very different from Feb. 1.”

The new world order, as highlighted by Dr. Mark Mullins, is guided by safety. In the Safety State, governments, companies and everyone else is moving forward with extreme caution continuously asking, “Is it safe?” Anderson answers that question saying, “Maybe, and that uncertainty means businesses have to move slowly and at the same time, they need to be innovative – boldly innovative”.

We invited Bridgitte Anderson, the CEO of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, to join us for a Conversation That Matters about finding a path forward – one that helps to restore economic confidence.
